I've been using reusable grocery bags for a few years, but they weren't anything fun. So I decided to add a little color to my life. I literally use a plastic grocery bag from the store as my pattern for this project. I cut it open so that the pattern lays flat. I trace around it on to my fabric and cut out two pieces of fabric. Sometimes they coordinate, but most of the time they don't, that's what makes it fun. Then I stitch them together. They are extremely strong and extremely washable. They get used for everything around our house, not just groceries. They haul wet snow boots back and forth to school, they haul clothes back and forth from an overnight at Grandma's, and they carry vegetables in from the garden. Just throw them in the washer/dryer and they're ready for the next job.
